That's a short but excellent question ^^.

The management of the inputs is totally on the OS side. That means that, in the app, my only option is to use the audio input that the OS has chosen. The rule that the OS seems to follow is "last plugged is used", so if you plug the mic then launch the app, it should be OK.

I don't have dock audio input device myself, so I cannot guarantee it based on my experience. But I never had user feedback saying me that their dock device wasn't working (of course you could argue that none of them had one ^^).

If you go for it, keep us updated. And if you experience any problem (which I doubt), I will do my best to provide you support.
