 Post subject: Export track problem!
PostPosted: Sun Mar 07, 2010 10:56 am
Hi! Really GREAT app!
I only have a problem with tracks on my mac.
When I export tracks to my mac, everything works, I see the tracks, I can hear them...
BUT: there's a problem with the mix ! They doesn't sound as good as on my iPhone (on my mac, some loops are too loud, other are too low or even missing)
Is this a known issue? Is there any solution?

Thanks!

Daniele

Hi MacT !

I'm glad you enjoy the app :D .

For the volume level difference that you experience, it's because exported tracks are the "raw" audio material.

That means that any volume changes that you've applied to the track is not taken into account.

To somehow "restore" the level of your tracks, you can normalize them in an audio editor (such as audacity which is free). That's exactly what Everyday Looper does internally. What will still be missing is the level of attenuation based on the normalized version of the track, which correspond to the volume in Everyday Looper (visually it's the brightness of the contour of the waveform).

Hope this helps :) .

Thanks for the answer! :)
I think your solution could help, but maybe only for the whole track:
when you export them, tracks are mixed, so there's nothing you can do to adjust every single loop.
AFTER exporting...

Anyway, not SO bad!
Maybe you can find another way to share tracks (what about twitter?)

Again, thanks!
