Post subject:  iTunes took EL off of my ipod!

Hi,

I first had EL on my 4.21 ipod. I also purchased it for my Ipad 4. While doing a routine sync, Itunes removed my version on my ipod and I can't get it back.

The ipod is a great size for performing. Can I get the old version back for my iPod?

I thought it was a valid question, but it seems to have been skipped over. I'm disappointed, as I really like this app. When I used my iPod, it fit nicely in my hand and I could move into the crowd. With the iPad it is a bit cumbersome. Surely there must be a way to get an older version back into my iPod

Hi Methodology :)

Sorry for missing your first post.

The classical method for this was restoring from iTunes synced apps, following this steps : http://gigaom.com/2010/08/25/recover-older-versions-of-iphone-apps-after-updating/

That requires that you can still find the .ipa for Everyday Looper on your hard drive, time machine included.

An easiest solution is this one : http://www.igeeksblog.com/how-to-restore-deleted-apps-on-iphone-ipad-ipod-touch/ but I'm not sure it covers older than current versions of the app

Tell me if it works for you,

Cheers !

Merci Raphaël for getting back to me. I really appreciate that you did. Unfortunately, I did not realize that I should be keeping my old .ipa files so they are gone. The second method will not work for my old ios 4.2.

The only way I could reinstall it would be to get a copy of the last .ipa file that was compatible with the older ipod. Would you have a copy of that?

Again, thank you, Raphaël, for trying to help; this is truly a great app!

I can't do that because the .ipa would need to be appropriately signed ...

As far as I know, there is unfortunately no solution :?

Sorry about that
