I was having trouble connecting my Roland Handsonic to Everyday Looper. I am trying to connect via midi and I was told that I could use the camera connection kit from apple to make it work, but I'm not having much luck so far.

Not sure what you are trying to do here. Do you want to use your Handsonic to trigger recording in Everyday Looper ?
