Hi there,

id bought today your App, "Everday Looper" and as far im fine with it,
btw you did a great Job ;o)
buuuuuuut i have a Problem and a improvement suggestion, i´d try to get my Songs (ok its better to call it Test Capturings ;o) ) via the http server out, and it worked as described.
I´ve just tried a couple things and after watching (the real funny) Tutorial i get better, so i wanna show proudly my Result and the longest Song that i have i saved as "nice Song" and afterwords also Nicenice (to see if a different Result comes out for my Problem), this must be the longest Track till here, around 15 Sec´s or so. But as you can see in the Sreenshot, it´s just about 4 Sec´s and the other Songs around 7 Sec´s.
Did i do something wrong, and if what?

My improvement suggestion is to build in the next Version the File Sharing Option in iTunes (i mean the Part where you can Im- and Export Stuff via the Option iTunes>iDevice>App>e.g. Stanza

Please let me know, best wishes from Germany

Andreas

P.S. i send also a Mail, i discovered this Forum afterwords, so please excuse and ignore the Mail

Hi Andreas !

Thanks for the kind words :D. Glad the tutorial has been useful for you !

Have you tried to download and listen to the .wav files ? Is there anything missing ? Remember that what you can download is the content of each of your tracks, not your overall performance.

I agree with you that Import/Export/Sharing has to be expended ^^.

Happy looping !

Yeah, sure, The half of the Track (or so) is missing, there are just some Intro Parts and then it stops, when i listen on the Device on it, there is the whole thing, also saved and loadable…… I don´t know what should be the Problem.

Hm…… i read it now couple Times, but i don´t get what that means to me (maybe because it´s in English, sorry) But what i can´t download? Or better asked, i can Loop on a Track, merge that with another Trackline and so on, i have 4 Lines at all. I thought i can now (couple of Second) (around 12 i guess))load that on my Mac. How long is the maximum of a whole Performance, that i could do and dowload it? And also is it possible, to integrate the Parts where some tracks are muted and then come back in it? When i understand it right, the Answer must be no, what would be really sad to me (should be not a Critic to you, but would be disappointing to me).
Also when im now already buggin you i just can ask, is there a Feature (or in Planing) e.g. Performance 1, Track 3 to copy and then Paste it to Performance 2 to Track 1 (or so, just as Example)?

Best wishes and thank´s for your Answers

Andreas

P.S. i´d tried to Upload the File here, maybe you could see something on it, but it´s not allowed to Upload .wav (maybe better for your Ears ;o) )

I think you get it right, the things you can download are the 4 tracks themselves. The maximum for each track is 45 seconds.

If you have no problem loading the saved loop, it's a good point. The HTTP server has a direct access to the exact same files used for loading a loop, which means the files are not corrupted. Do the 3 tracks of your "Nice song" have the exact same length once downloaded ?

I don't get what you mean here, could you elaborate ?

And you can copy and paste tracks between loops using the AudioCopy/Paste tool in the menu. Load Loop 1, tap "3" in the ACP tool. Load Loop 2, tap "Paste" in the ACP tool and choose the track to "Paste to". The tracks have to be of the same length or multiple of each others if you want them to stay rhythmically synced.

Hi Raphaël,

thanks for your Answer,

Well and there might be the Problem, i just can Record from the Begin of the Screen, till its End, so about 5 Secs, i tested via Garageband (line out/-in) and all Tracks are around 5 Seconds.
On the other Side i found out by accident, that if i fill the first Track with a longer Sequence, the Rest Tracks follow them, so if the first track is 4 Sec´s, Track 2 cant be longer, what if it´s supposed to be, kinda sad. My Idea was to start with a Beat on Track 1, follow with another Beat on Track2 and merge them and so on, but as far i get it is that not possible, right?

On that one Record we talked about (Nicenice)is just one Track to hear (as you can see in the Screen, there are 3 Tracks recorded) and the others are not muted or so…

Well i ment, that what Ed showed in the Videos, is that possible to make on a Record, but when i longer think about it, my Thinking about it is wrong i gues, its more a Loopstation than a Musicstudio, right? ;o)

The Part with the multiple i dont get, could you explane that or give me a Link where i can read about it?

Best wishes

The rule is that once you record your first track (up to 45 seconds), all the other tracks will have the same length as this first recorded track. I have still to work on multiple length tracks.
If you record a beat on Track 1 and another beat on Track 2, when you merge them you will get the sum of the 2 tracks in one track. Not Track 1 followed by Track 2.

Everyday Looper is a Loopstation, it's not designed to act as a conventional sequencer. If that's what you are looking for, you can try Multitrack DAW for example. It's a very good app for sequencing.

For the multiple, if "Loop 1" is 4 beats at 100 BPM, you can copy it to a "Loop 2" made of 8 beats at 100 BPM. You just have to configure "Loops" to 2 in the Paste tool. That way "Loop 1" will be doubled to fill the 8 beats. That's what I meant with multiple of each others.

Cheers,

Raphaël

well what i try to do is something like this in Result http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bioYs6oAD8g&feature=relmfu
(i do a lot of experiment with a friend, still the Quality is missing, but thats the Direction where it should go, couple effects and a Loop Station)
Do you can suggest me what i need else for it (basicly talent, everyday looper and……) ive tried to do it with Garageband, but that satisfy my not enough. (to be clear, i have two iPodTouch here and it would be nice, but dont have to be a Live Performance)

To the other Question about the missing Tracks in that Song, did you not have any Idea?

I think Dub FX uses a guitar/bass multi-effects pedal and use it very creatively to expand his voice. That's a very interesting work to do, because depending on your vocal abilities and the type of sounds you want to create, you will probably end up with unique techniques.

But depending on your goals (live/studio, vocal/instruments, ...) your way to do it can be very different to his way. One trap to avoid is to commit yourself too much in techniques before knowing what sort of emotions you want to create. But that's far beyond my scope here ^^.

I think I didn't get the problem about the missing tracks. Do you mean that you can't download some of the colored tracks through the web page ?

No, i can download them all, but when i have in one Record, 3 Tracks recorded, download that Song and listen to em on the Mac, i just hear one Track, so 2 Tracks are missing
Know what i mean?

I think I get what you mean. It's because each wav file contains only one track. You can either reconstruct the song by using multiple tracks in garageband or merge all the tracks in Everyday Looper and save the result as "Nice song merged" to be able to download it directly.
