 Post subject: APP NOT WORKING, HIGH PITCHED NOISE COMING THRU HEADPHONES

OK so I got an ipod touch 2nd gen ios 6 and it's not working. I downloaded it PAID 6 DOLLARS TO USE THIS.... and everytime I try and start recording with normal earphones in or without earphones a really highpitch shrieking noise comes out and it won't record any voice or anything. PLEASE HELP.
